European Television Groups in the list generated most of their revenues from free-to-air broadcasting.
The total revenues of the Top 10 Broadcasters in Europe in 2008 were around 39.2 billion euros.
The total revenues of Public Broadcasters in the list amounted to around 20.7 billion euros, nearly 53% of total revenues. The total revenues of Private Broadcasters were around 18.5 billion euros, 47% of total revenues.
